20 years ago I was 100 pounds heavier than I am now. In my early 20’s I took a hard look in the mirror at myself and thought ‘Enough is Enough’. From that day forward I began slowly making one change at a time to not only lose weight but to start feeling better about myself and more confident about who I was and who I wanted to become. After losing the weight, I maintain my healthy weight, through these healthy lifestyle habits. I am a Fitness Nutrition Specialist through NASM Certified Personal Trainer through NETA , Weight Management Specialist and Senior Fitness Specialist. Certified to help others achieve their health goals too! Through the simple, yet effective sustainable lifestyle habits, and mindful planning, I’d love to help you too!

​​My goal is to help people find personal freedom through various forms of movement. Variety is the spice of life! I love to mix unique and uplifting music with a variety of fitness styles such dance, cardio kick, Nia, strength training and stretching to create a journey of strength and beauty. I have a passion for dance and choreography and have used movement as a means of healing and stress relief during times of great personal loss in my own life. I also choreograph and perform circle dances with a troupe several times a year and am currently the Director of Dance for the Tully Arts Council.

Credentials: ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Zumba, Zumba Gold, Strong by Zumba Instructor, Yogafit Instructor and Nia white belt Instructor.

About Alyssa:  I’ve been practicing yoga sporadically over the past 8 years. Every time I returned to my yoga practice it feels more and more like home. This last year I dedicated my time to complete a 200-hour training at Yoga Farm in Lansing, and am so excited to share my experiences with you.  I believe we all know what is best for us if we can just learn to listen to our inner wisdom. I approach yoga teaching as a guide, knowing that you are the only one in your body.  I can’t wait to meet you.

Alyssa is a board certified music therapist (MT-BC) and registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) through Yoga Alliance.

Kim Kelchner

Kim Kelchner is a Nurse Practitioner and a Kripalu Yoga teacher.
She has also completed multiple integrative healing trainings in holistic nutrition, yoga as medicine and Reiki. Kim teaches multiple yoga classes including All Levels, Level II, and Gentle Kripalu. She teaches yoga at both the studio and community locations. She is passionate about helping others' reach their health goals through movement, nourishing foods and mindful living.  Kim teaches Gentle Kripalu, All Levels Kripalu and Kripalu Vinyasa Flow.

Janis started her Zumba career in 2010 with a Basis 1 class.  Since then she has earned her Basic 2, Gold, Gold Toning, Toning, Core, Step and Sentao credentials. You may remember her from Tully Curves, Nedrow Curves, Walden Place or the Tully Full Circle dancers. By day Janis is a Sr. Environmental Health and Safety Specialist at Charter Communications.  She has earned her Train the Trainer Instructor in NSC CPR, AED,1st Aid.  She holds a BS degree in Nutrition from Syracuse University and is certified in Human Resources as well as Utility Safety Professional.

Theresa Mulroy is the proud owner of the Pure & Simple Yoga Studio. Theresa has 8 years of experience teaching a variety of fitness classes including yoga, pilates, zumba and water aerobics. She completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Infinite Light Yoga Studio. She is an ACE group Fitness instructor. She recently obtained her Personal Trainer Certification. She continues to educate herself in the fields of Yoga, Fitness and Healing. She is currently teaching Beginner Yoga, Strength Training and Mat Pilates at the yoga studio. She is excited to offer the community a place to grow and heal.
